Xiaomi is focusing on their parent brand Poco’s latest upcoming series, Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro. Both models are coming under the Poco F series lineup. The last variant of this lineup series was the Poco F7 Ultra and Poco F7 Pro models, which entered the market this year, starting in 2025. The same version in China was launched last year, 2024, with the name Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro segment lineup.
This upcoming model is are rebranded version of the Redmi K90 series lineup. There are chances of making some changes as per a few strategic decisions in the specifications and features for the global market.
Poco F8 Ultra Some Key Specifications (Expected)
Design and Display
The display is expected with a large 6.9-inch, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2k high resolution as per expected rumors. The phone may be expected to have brighter peak brightness and also come with screen guard protection.
The smartphone design may come with a premium, sleek design with smooth touch and an impressive look.
Battery and Fast Charging
The global model may consist of a 6500mAh battery, while compared to the Chinese model, this version of the battery unit is smaller. The battery is large and may last for a long day life and it also comes with fast charging support.
Performance and Storage Unit
The Performance may be expected with Qualcomm, which may be expected of a higher version. The RAM options may be available in two variants options such as 12GB RAM and 16GB RAM options. The Storage unit may consist of 256GB and 512GB storage; 1TB storage option was available for China, and the global variant doesn’t have this option.
Poco F8 series may be expected to enter the market early new year 2026, along with two devices, Poco F8 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro.
Redmi K90 series in the Redmi K90 Pro Max, which carries the Qualcomm Processor, which consists of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a bigger battery and advanced camera upgradation, and sleek design pattern.
Poco F7 Ultra consists of an OLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a higher processor chipset of Snapdragon 8 Elite. The next version, F8 Ultra, may be expected with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor. While the previous version, Poco F87 Pro, also consists of a big display unit OLED display screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and also gets an IP68 rating for durability, for water and dust resistance.
The processor for this model F7 Pro, consists of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Next model F8 Pro is expected with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset with fast high high-efficiency, and powerful high-efficiency unit.
